Helping NIH Create Safe Spaces
At HSU, we take pride in creating inclusive, safe, and supportive spaces that foster health and well-being. That's why we are proud to partner with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on its Safe Zone program, which aims to foster inclusive, affirming, and secure workplaces, particularly for LGBTQ+ employees.
Our work on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Building 31 B's first-floor all-gender restrooms is part of NIH's initiative to cultivate supportive environments for all employees. The new "mini-suites" feature security locks and entire floor-to-ceiling walls, increasing access for the health and well-being of everyone across its campuses. Designed with the privacy and safety of all employees in mind, the restrooms have floor-to-ceiling walls and are equipped with security locks.
As NIH continues to implement its Safe Zone initiatives, we're honored to support the mission by creating spaces where everyone, regardless of gender or background, can feel secure and respected.
