HSU has completed numerous assignments for the U.S. Department of State's Office of Overseas Buildings Operations and showcases the best of American government, architecture, and culture worldwide.

  • Our high-profile projects represent the government's functional and changing needs in secure environments.

  • From new construction to renovations, security initiatives, and mechanical and electrical efforts, our diverse project portfolio has taken HSU to 23 countries on five continents.

  • Our international projects preserve history and ensure government facilities are secure worldwide.

International Construction Services

HSU excels in designing and constructing Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs). SCIFs vary in the level of security or information needed, and many of our clients require SCIFs to perform daily operations. SCIFs provide physical and technical elements to protect personnel and prevent electronic eavesdropping. We are experienced in designing and constructing SCIFs for specific environments—both domestically and internationally—that conform to DCID 6/9, ICD705, and other SCIF requirements.

Our expertise extends to the design and construction of specialized SCIFs, Special Access Program (SAP) Facilities, and Radio Frequency Shielded Enclosures (RFSE), all built to meet accreditation standards with precision.

  • "I would like to first stress that these projects were successfully completed under sensitive time constraints, in high-pressure environments, with remarkable attention to detail and with the utmost regard for historic preservation.  Secondly, HSU did an outstanding job of following through on the President’s promise to the public and the press organizations regarding when the newly renovated Press Room would be completed."
