HSU was the prime contractor on this project at the E. Barrett Prettyman Courthouse in Washington, DC. HSU worked with GSA representatives, court personnel, and design firm SmithGroup on scheduling, value-engineering, and problem-solving on this multi-phased courthouse renovation. All divisions of construction were included in the scope of work which included installation of custom secure doors, judges’ chambers upgrades, ADA bathrooms, windows, walls, signage, architectural systems, painting, MEP, and life-safety upgrades for efficiency and sustainable design throughout the courthouse facility.

The work was performed in and around occupied spaces. Security clearances were required for all onsite personnel due to the sensitive nature of the facility.
