In 2007, HSU began a project to work with its protégé, Edifice Group, Inc., for the U.S. Department of Homeland security (DHS) on a high-security base in Washington, D.C.  The work involved the complete renovation and refurbishment of approximately 13,500 square feet of interior office space.

All on-site personnel were required to obtain the requisite security clearances to work-onsite, with no disruptions or signs of construction to impede the functioning of this high security building.
