Mary McLeod Bethune Council House

Description:

The Mary McLeod Bethune Council House National Historic Site commemorates the life of Mary McLeod Bethune and the organization she founded, the landmark National Council of Negro Women. Renovation included historic restoration of the front entry and façade, windows, trim, bricks, and crown molding. Methods used were approved by the National Park Service to meet the goals and criteria of this historic renovation.
